2016 South Carolina Gamecocks football team
The 2016 South Carolina Gamecocks football team will represent the University of South Carolina in the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Gamecocks will play their home games at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina, and compete int the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The head coach of the 2016 South Carolina Gamecocks has yet to be determined.
==Schedule==
South Carolina announced its 2016 football schedule on October 29, 2015. The 2016 schedule consists of 7 home and 5 away games in the regular season. The Gamecocks will host SEC foes Georgia, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas A&M, and will travel to Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt.
The Gamecocks will make it the tenth year that South Carolina opened the season on a Thursday. The team will host three out of four of its non–conference games which are against Clemson Tigers from the Atlantic Coast Conference, East Carolina Pirates from American Athletic Conference, Massachusetts Minutemen (UMass), and Western Carolina Catamounts from the Southern Conference.
